The Coach House Douglas in Cork was amazing! The bathroom was a total winner with a refreshing shower that made me feel like I was in a fancy spa. The bed linen was so cozy, I could have spent the whole day lounging in bed. As a laid-back guest, these little luxuries made me feel right at home.
The only thing that didn't fully tickle my fancy was the fact that there was only one bathroom. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

The Coach House Douglas was a great stay that met all my expectations. The host was absolutely terrific and went above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience. The property felt very private and secure, giving me peace of mind during my stay. It was also clean, comfortable, and located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. I loved how close it was to a vibrant community with plenty of great places to eat and enjoy a drink at the local pubs. The accommodations were exactly as shown in the photos and cabs were readily available for a short drive to the city center.
While my stay was fantastic overall, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. Initially, it was a little difficult to find the property for the first time by cab, but the host had a back-up plan in place which worked out smoothly.

What a dream come true! Our stay at The Coach House was everything we imagined - and more. We arrived late, but the warm and friendly welcome from Emily made us feel right at home. The cozy living room with two comfortable sofas was perfect for Hayley and me, while Nelie loved lounging on the cozy rug. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities, including a fridge and oven, and the table was large enough for a delightful breakfast or dinner. We were impressed by the central heating and the additional freestanding heater that kept us warm. The location is also a plus, with easy access to shops and a short drive to explore the charming seaside towns of the area.
Leaving was the hardest part!

We stayed at The Coach House for three days and it was everything we dreamt of and more. Emily, our lovely host, warmly welcomed us despite our late arrival. The property was beautiful and cozy, tucked away in a private and peaceful location. The house had all the necessary provisions and was tastefully decorated with lots of character. Emily created a warm and welcoming home for us, and the location was perfect with restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. We highly recommend staying here - it was all we wanted and more for a cozy home away from home.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Wonderful surroundings: The hotel is located on the grounds of The Old Rectory, giving it a charming and picturesque atmosphere. Strolling through the garden was like stepping into a fairytale.
Lack of privacy: Limited curtains and a door without a curtain made us feel a bit exposed.

A posh lady like me surely appreciates the terrace and free WiFi - how charming! And the luggage storage space was simply divine.
Oh, how delightful it was to pay a surprise €30 cleaning fee on top of the already "fine" €160 room rate. com, you never fail to amuse me with your sneaky costs.

The Coach House was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful house and how spotless clean and comfortable it was. The facilities were top-notch, and we felt so secure in the peaceful setting. The decor was jaw-droppingly lovely. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to the vibrant Douglas village, where we found an abundance of restaurants, bars, and shops. Emily, our host, was incredibly nice and helpful, giving us fantastic tips and advice on which towns to visit. We stayed for 4 days but wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!
